Social Media Policy

There are pros and cons / risks and benefits of engaging with social media. Rebecca Seidemann PLLC / LLC engages professionally with social media in good faith in an effort to spread resources, psychoeducation, and other relevant information & materials. Clients are welcome to follow these accounts at their own discretion (i.e., understanding that it's possible for others to review a list of followers and make assumptions).

A foundational  piece of therapy is confidentiality and privacy. Likewise, it's important to be mindful about any engagement that could result in dual relationships between clients and Therapist. Because of this, there are some things we must consider around social media use... â€‹

Therapist will never purposefully return a follow from a professional account. Your personal account should remain personal. If there is any confusion regarding this, it should be discussed and corrected as soon as possible. â€‹

Clients are not allowed to search for or follow the Therapist's personal media accounts -- i.e., accounts not specifically connected to the business of Rebecca Seidemann PLLC / LLC.

Therapist takes a number of measures to try to prevent clients from accessing personal social media accounts - though cannot control all of the ways in which technology circulates data. Should Therapist's personal account be recommended to you, it is expected that you will "x" out of the recommendation without exploring it further.

On professional accounts, Therapist may use humor or trending templates to get across a message. There is no intent to harm, confuse, or circulate misinformation via posts. Should you have concerns, please reach out.

If you have any questions about these policies, please inquire.
